- There are many scenes that younger kids may view as frightening. Kids might be intimidated by the mice. The Mouse Queen's corpse is shown. The Mouse King may come off as being scary.
- The overall mood of the movie is sorta creepy and uninviting. It does lighten up toward the end only to have a one last creepy scene when the mouse king is trying to kill Clara.
