Please see more professional opinions about this film, for example by DAPHNE ABEEL: "Askarian has a style and a message that cannot be ignored. If you see his films, you will not forget them, and you will never mistake them for a work by someone else.Mirror-Spectator On-Line. 01. 23. 2002" Or by LINDA BLACKABY: "AVETIK (...) is unlike any film in recent memory with its superb images and challenging, metaphoric structure. This film will certainly be seen as a watershed in post Soviet Cinema. Or by GIOVANNI FAZIO (The Japan Times): "A gorgeous and mesmerizing film,"Avetik" both thrills the eyes and boggles the mind."

Intoxicated by Tarkovski

When watching this movie with a friend, we couldn't believe the overwhelming influence of Tarkovski. Unfortunately, this prevents the emergence of any deep originality in the film. However, photography is excellent and some images (especially the erotic ones)are interesting.
