This documentary is extremely confusing, and leaves the viewer (including myself, a veteran Cuba-watcher) perplexed as to what really happened during the Ochoa (8-A) Affair. I don't think the documentary's aim is for you to draw your own conclusions. It is, after all a European government-financed documentary, not a parable. It should make definite statements, but does not. It shows a lot of live footage without explanation. This is fine in a documentary like UN SPECIALISTE (about Nazi henchman Adolf Eichmann's trial in Jerusalem), where one knows what the character is being tried for ahead of time. But I, and I believe the other viewers also, rent this video to gain insight as to what (may have really) happened. We already know Castro's Cuba is "Kafkaesque" and full of contradictions. No real points were made in this documentary. A disappointment.
