Covers the Basics of the Women-in-Prison Subgenre
Uriah4312 June 2017
After the king of a banana republic decides to abdicate, his daughter "Princess Marga" (Chanel Akiko Hirai) is captured by revolutionaries and sent to a maximum security prison. This results in the American government sending a female agent by the name of "Amanda" (Jewel Shephard) to the prison to protect her and attempt to facilitate her escape at the appropriate time. What makes things more difficult, however, is that another American woman by the name of "Lucy" (Susan Harvey) is caught up in the action and sent to that same prison. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this film turned out to be a rather standard women-in-Prison (WIP) movie which covers the essential basics and doesn't stray too far off course. As a matter of fact, it's actually quite tame in comparison to some of the other films in this particular sub-genre. That being said, however, although both Chanel Akiko Hirai and Jewel Shephard were both quite attractive, the acting wasn't too good overall and for that reason I have rated it as slightly below average.

It is with great sadness....

Warning: Spoilers
....That I cannot give this film a good rating. I had high hopes..a chicks in chains movie with violence sex, bad acting and nudity......hardly. Unless what I was viewing was a censored version of this film. It was not debauched, nor brutal as another reviewer claimed it to be. With only one female villain in the prison , this movie is more like a topless Charlie's Angels episode. The main actress delivers her lines like the SNL staff reading cue cards. I would rather have seen bad acting, ham fisted campy and over embellished than droll and lethargic. It's sorta OK. If you are a die hard W.I.P. Fan, there is enough to keep you watching the whole film. The big sex act only takes place on an adult movie they are watching in the Customs office at the airport. Worth renting, or watching...but not to purchase. Oh yeah...all the actresses in this film are all easy on the eyes, but hard on the dialogue.

Great Exploitation!
jessesta22 February 2002
This is a fun watch. Even though i liked the first, this really blew it out of the water! Packed with shameless violence, nudity and catfights, this is a must! I felt i was back in the 70's, when the plot was 2nd to the exploitation of guns and female bodies! Jewel Sheperd was great to! See this along with one for a great womens prison double feature.

Your best fiend in exploitation

Film about Women being abused and very SICK!!
whpratt110 March 2004
If you like violence, lots of sex, which is very close to porno, and think rape and sexual abuse to women in a so called prison is okay, this is the film for you. I have Pay-TV and watched this film briefly, so I really cannot tell you the ending of the film? Jewel Shepard(Amanda),"The Cooler",'03, is a very talented actress and very good looking, however, she wasted her talents in this film. Pamella D'Pella (Paula),"Space Cowboys",2000, is a very beautiful gal and is an up and coming actress also wasted her talents twisting and grinding for the warden, Vic Diaz,"Closer to Home", '95, who portrayed a very evil and dirty minded old man, who every time he smiled looked like the DEVIL himself!

I Feel Stripped of My Seventy-Two Minutes
NoDakTatum26 November 2023
Sometimes, even women-in-prison flicks are so bad, the promise of sadistic guards and gratuitous shower scenes are not enough to combat the ineptitude of the director, in this case, one Cirio H. Santiago. Santiago is an awful director. Truly awful. I have seen a few of his potboilers in my day, and they were all low points in my life. Amanda (Jewel Shepard) is a CIA agent posing as the mistress of a Southeast Asian monarch (Ramon D'Salva). The king is shot and his hot princess daughter Marga (Chanel Akiko Hikai) is hauled off to an island prison to await a trial and certain execution. Except, the assassination was fake! Hooray! The king gets royally ticked about his daughter being taken, and threatens Amanda's boss Carl (Ed Crick) with big press conferences and tattle-telling if Marga is not rescued. Lo and behold, Amanda has a new assignment: go to the prison and break Marga out. Amanda hides some blow in her suitcase and is arrested, along with porn smuggler Lucy (Susan Harvey) and both go to the big house. The warden (Vic Diaz) is busy "entertaining" scary Paula (Pamella D'Pella) so she can feed her dope habit. Amanda is strip searched and tossed in with the other inmates, all of whom are under twenty five years of age and cute. The cells are larger than my first apartment and, after Marga arrives, an escape attempt is on.

Coming from New Horizons Home Video, you know this film was never destined for Oscar greatness. Jewel Shepard has written about her life as a B movie actress, and always seemed to have a sense of humor about the schlock she appeared in. In this movie, unfortunately, she is awful. Her only emotion is "pissy," and she delivers all her lines through clenched teeth while glaring at other characters. The rest of the cast is even worse. The screenplay is so bad, I could write a book. Santiago's direction is purely Santiagoan, i.e. Awful. There are plenty of bored shootouts and fights, but the film is seriously lacking in the skin department. Sure, we have some topless scenes here and there, but even the shower room scene has the actresses wearing bikini bottoms or towels. "Caged Heat II: Stripped of Freedom" is an absolute flop. Sorry, ladies, no early release for you.
