Sex & Nudity

  • At the beginning of the film in a secluded area of the store where Bones and his friend Jack work at, unbeknownst to Bones Jack is videotaping a conversation between Bones and his girlfriend which Bones says "let's get naked". The conversation is broadcast all over the entire store TV monitors, Bones and his girlfriend exchange a brief kiss before cutting to the next scene.
  • During a basic training sequence while showing recruits how to dress with a proper gig line, the female drill instructor, tugs on a recruit's pants to straighten up his gig line. Bone's then purposely messes up his gig line so the DI will come over and do the same thing to his pants, and pretends to make suggestive sexual noises, (it's obvious however it's all played for laughs.)
  • Bones strips down to his underwear in the back room at a party barking like a dog, and tells his girlfriend "he hasn't seen you in 8 weeks, (referring to his penis.) He then receives a phone call with an important announcement saying "I saw a flock of geese migrating south", the message indicates there is a desert war and the reserves are being called up for duty, Bones proceeds to say things to the effect of "My goose is about ready to lay a golden egg", while making out with his girlfriend in his underwear. He also undoes her bra strap, however her breasts are not visible at all during the scene.
  • The two main characters pretend to be gay in order to get a discharge from the U.S. Army so they won't be sent to Africa to fight a war. At one point they almost kiss each other until Bones surrenders. The scene is very light hearted and played for laughs strictly.
  • Jack tells Christine, his fellow female recruit, "did you know in the worst of situations there is a desire to have sex?" or something to that effect. Christine responds by saying "yes I know, it will never happen with you, ever!"
  • Christine tells Bones she will give him the "nastiest freakiest sex he has ever imagined rubbing oil all over his body while tying him to a bed" if he rescues all of the recruits from the fates of the desert war. Later on Bones questions her about this.
  • Jack thinks he sees a body of water in midst of the desert however it's just a mirage with no water, and he strips completely naked. A 3-5 second shot of his buttocks may be barely visible. However Bones says "look at that ass, you should get some sun on those cheeks."

Violence & Gore

  • Standard war violence, with absolutely no blood whatsoever. Just a lot of explosions, gun shots, fires etc... Main characters at times seem like they are faced with life threatening situations, however nobody in this film ever comes into any situations which come close to tragedy or death.

Profanity

  • Many uses of hell, damn, ass, shit, dick is used twice, one use of god-damn.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Once Jack, Bones, Christine and Fred get out of their training before the war, they are seen at a party where there is a bar, however everyone is drinking non-alcoholic beer. The Libyan terrorists are seen smoking cigarettes briefly. Christine remarks she wants a margarita on the rocks.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scene of the main characters being captured and taken hostage by the Libyan's may upset younger viewers. The main characters are nearly attacked by a snake before Bones shoots and kills it with a gun and they all eat it for dinner. A few of the explosions and weapon firing may qualify as "intense" depending on the viewing audience.
