Powder : Do you? Do you?
Lindsey : Do I what?
Powder : Do you think I'm ugly?
Lindsey : I don't know what I think when I look at you. But sometimes I think, I think you're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

Powder : She didn't go some place... your wife. I felt her go. Not away, just out... everywhere.

Lindsey : It's hard to believe that, all of that.
Powder : It's because you have this spot that you can't see past. My grams and gramps had it, the spot where they were taught they were disconnected from everything.
Lindsey : So that's what they'd see if they could? That they're connected?
Powder : And how beautiful they really are. And that there's no need to hide, or lie. And that it's possible to talk to someone without any lies, with no sarcasms, no deceptions, no exaggerations or any of the things that people use to confuse the truth.
Lindsey : I don't know a single person who does that.

Jessie Caldwell : Jeremy, please...
Powder : I wanna go home. Do you understand that? I wanna go home!
Jessie Caldwell : Look, whatever happened up there, whatever you saw...
Powder : I saw that I don't like what you do!
[a baseball falls off from the shelf and onto the floor getting Jessie's attention]
Powder : ANY of you!
Jessie Caldwell : Jeremy...
Powder : [angry and sad] NO! You pretend to be my friend the way you pretend everything!
[glass from one of the pictures on the wall cracks up getting Jessie's attention again]
Powder : A friend doesn't lock you up!
[without warning, glass from another picture on the wall shatters by itself scaring Jessie]
Powder : A friend doesn't take you away from your home!
[glass from a clock on the wall violently shatters scaring Jessie more]
Powder : And say that it's for your own good!
[a fluorescent lamp above the ceiling violently explodes scaring Jessie once more as the room goes dark]
Powder : How long do you really think I'll let you keep me here?
[glass on the door explodes giving Jessie a total scare, Powder storms out of the room]
