Warning: Spoilers
"Geisterjäger John Sinclair: Die Dämonenhochzeit" is a German movie from 1997, which runs for slightly over 90 minutes and it will have its 20th anniversary next year. It is a television production and the director is Klaus Knoesel. Writer is Christoph Gottwald. You have never heard of these people? neither have I and that's probably for the better as this film was really embarrassing. Two dangerous demons are planning a wedding and it's about John Sinclair to keep this from happening. Funnily, this film came out the very same year that Buffy started. But back to this one here. It is really a disastrous watch. The lead actor is Florian Fitz (not Florian David Fitz) and it surely takes a special cast to make him look like a talented actor. But the people in here, especially the female lead actress, are bad enough to make Fotz look good. I have rarely seen such wooden line delivery and it's almost everybody. Fitz' dad plays in here too. What else is to say about this film. It is ridiculous how it takes itself so seriously with the protagonists throwing pretentious quotes at each other. One example would be the very last scene. And as if this film wasn't bad enough already, they made a series about this character a couple years later, which was apparently also bad and there is another lead actor and cast in there. This film was really really terrible. I recommend you to stay far far away.

A slap in the face of the true JS-fan!!!

Since 1973 John Sinclair is one of Germany's longest running written weekly pulp horror series in a long standing tradition like Jerry Cotton, Doc Savage, The Spider, Diabolik... So when finally the JS-community in Europe heard about the filming of their hero's adventures, the hopes where very high. Very soon they noticed that this hope was idle. The transfer from novel to screen is an example on how-not-to-do-it. The movie is really a bad and unnecessary hoax. A slap in the face of the many thousand fans of John Sinclair. The difference between the movie and the weekly serial is as different as the sun and the moon. They have nothing in common. You even get the impression that the production company did everything in their power to stray as far away from the basic ingredients of the pulp series as possible so that the informed fan has no point of recollection. So the conclusion is that if you are going to watch this movie it is best to see it without knowing any information about the weekly serial. If you do watch it with pre-knowledge this movie could be a very bad horror trip for you!

Not worth watching!

This movie is truly the worst I have seen in a long time!!! Characters are the exact opposite of how they are described in the series, their appearance and their personalities. How could this happen,? Jason Dark, author of the original JS novels, could not have been asked otherwise he would have refused to accept the script.
