- In a sad but tasteful scene, a female seagull dies (as a consequence of being immersed in polluted water). Before dying, she asks a cat to take care of her egg (he later complies, protecting her offspring). A group of animals is then seen standing next to the bird's lifeless body, mourning her.
- A young seagull is kidnapped by rats, who threaten to eat her (she is rescued in time).
