Ill Met By Operation Moonlight

Warning: Spoilers
Surely one of the least likely films to be dubbed for American television screenings, Whiskey and Sofa (what happened to the second whisky?) is a romantic comedy featuring Maria Schell and Karl Michael Vogler as architects on opposite sides of a bidding war for a big construction project. They meet cute via some bad parking and a shared bathroom. At least, that's what I think is going on: there's a lot of talk about the 'Moonlight Project', but it's not entirely clear what it actually entails, and I don't really understand the confusion regarding the bathroom. Unlike most European films of the period imported to the US, there are no genre elements to attract an audience - no super spies, no cowboys, no musclemen - so one has to assume the film was included in a package deal along with some more marketable titles. It's not bad, but has surely only ever been seen in the US by insomniacs and Schell completists.
