- Reissued as Teenage Runaways by Atom Films (and released by Excalibur Films on DVD) with a shorter running time. Several scenes were eliminated entirely, most notably all scenes with Richard Jaccoma. Unrelated hard core inserts shot on video attempt to replace the missing time.
- A year after the original Punk Rock appeared, a soft core version was sought after (primarily for the Canadian market) which would include more music performances. Carter Stevens was brought in to update and expand his film. First, all hard core penetration sequences were removed. Then two performers from the original film (Wade Nichols and Crystal Sync) were brought back to film new footage to explain the additional performance scenes. More than half of the "new" Punk Rock (also distributed under the title "Rock Fever") was made up of this additional footage which featured three period New Wave rock acts. Note the only band that appeared in the X-rated original was Elda and the Stillettos featuring Elda Gentile, Joseph Pampillonia, Neon Leon and Alter Ego. The uncut original film is still available on DVD from Alpha Blue Archives.
