A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, and Failure have announced a joint live album, Cinquanta, recorded during a 2014 show celebrating the 50th birthday of Maynard James Keenan.
A known prankster, Maynard took the opportunity to grace us with some truly, um, noteworthy artwork, appearing as an adult baby — diaper and all — on the cover of the live album. Puscifer have had some ridiculous sleeves over the years, but this might be the most outrageous one yet.
Presented as a double album, the actual recordings were culled from a performance on May 10th, 2014, at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles when Puscifer, A Perfect Circle, and Failure shared the stage to celebrate Keenan’s 50th. Cinquanta is set to release on March 22nd on vinyl (in multiple colorways) and CD, but online pre-orders appear to already be sold out, so you’ll have to check with your local record store (per Puscifer’s Linktree).

The prolific solo career of Les Claypool is being condensed into a new box set called Adverse Yaw: The Prawn Song, out February 9th.
Adverse Yaw will compile highlights of Claypool’s discography, outside the work he’s most widely known for in Primus. There’s sad news to report this evening, as it has been announced that Ricou Browning – who was the last surviving actor to have played a classic Universal Monster, since he portrayed the Gill-Man in the underwater scenes in all three entries of the Creature from the Black Lagoon trilogy; Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), Revenge of the Creature (1955), and The Creature Walks Among Us (1956) – has passed away at the age of 93. The Hollywood Reporter notes that his daughter Kim confirmed he passed away yesterday, just eleven days after his birthday.
Born in Fort Pierce, Florida on February 16, 1930, Browning started his career in the entertainment industry by working in water shows at tourist attractions and performing in underwater newsreels. When Gill-Man scenes were being filmed for Creature from the Black Lagoon in Florida, the crew chose Browning to play the swimming creature because he was a strong swimmer and could...

Though it never charted above No. 72, Korn’s self-titled 1994 debut has had unparalleled influence over the last two decades of American heavy music: the rise of nu-metal’s whomping pain-stomp, the road to platinum genre-smashers like Linkin Park and Slipknot, the popularity of the 7-string guitar, the emergence of superstar producer Ross Robinson and his method-acting-style techniques and even the mosh-centric rhythms of stadium dubstep artists like avowed Korn fan Skrillex.

We hold in our hands the covers for DC Comics this March. As a child of four can plainly see, these comics have been hermetically sealed in a Cgc 9.8 slab, and they’ve been kept in a #2 mayonnaise jar under a giant pile of Christmas tinsel since noon today.
What do we have worth noting? The first fill-in artist on Justice League, although Gene Ha is certainly no slouch in that department. We also have new writers on Firestorm and Green Arrow, new backups in Justice League and Action Comics, and the DC 52 hits lucky number 7.
Shall we see who is the fariest of them all? Oh indeedy, let’s do!
As usual, spoilers may lurk beyond this point.
