Superb hardcore feature that gets everything right. Fascinating story of two New York City hustlers who meet by chance while selling their bodies in the street. Harry Reems and Darby Lloyd Rains are the two jaded hustlers who realize they are two of a kind, and together they build a kind "sex empire," a high end escort service that caters to clients with extreme and bizzare sexual kinks. Never before in the history of adult cinema has hardcore sex been combined more seamlessly with an always fascinating story, while at the same time delivering comedy that is funny and intelligent. Add into the mix some truly beautiful sex scenes that are graphic, but never raunchy or ugly, and you basically have the perfect adult film. The look of "Every Inch A Lady" is impressive as well: it might be the professional lighting or the appealing sets, but the movie possesses this beautiful, vintage, golden hue that makes everything seem to glow. Yes, this is seminal 1970s stuff, as well as one of the best vintage New York City movies of all time. NY is portrayed as a giant, swinging playground, filled with eccentric characters and eye popping fashion. While watching something like this it's hard not to wonder if things were really that much fun back then. Of course things turn serious during the last half hour, which is totally unexpected, but it fits perfectly with the first hour. This is required viewing for fans of Harry Reems as well, as this is among his absolute finest, up there with "Butterflies" and "Sometimes Sweet Susan..." a genre masterpiece.
