Fory Etterle's character is super annoying repeating himself endlessly, not accidentally hanging himself at one point, he probably couldn't stand it either... Liviu Ciulei and Colea Rautu are perfect in their roles of actors in the service of the communist propaganda. Lica Gheorghiu, daughter of the great smoker communist leader Gheorghe Ghiorghiu-Dej cannot be called an actress. The other actors, Dumitru Furdui, Andrei Codarcea, Nucu Paunescu are ridiculous. Only Dorin Dron, has a cooler role as the one who plays the harmonica all the time. Dorin Dron was a very good actor, unfortunately born like Dumitru Furdui in the wrong time and place. Reading the comments from YouTube, where I saw the movie in January 2020, I realize how deep it has been and still is the effect of the experiment called communism. It's the first feature film directed by Francisc Munteanu, who would make a few more war films, the best and the most daring being "Saint Teresa and the devils", in which Réka Nagy appears naked filmed from far. One star for the presence of Dorin Dron.
