uninspired dialogs, chaotic story, not credible scenes. but a nice movie. because the errors, the confusion, the forced mixture of romanticism, heroism and family crisis are characteristics not for an director but for a period. because , like many other films, it is a kind of surrogate who search seems be original. because the music and the actors saves it. a film who could be real good if it was not only a sketch about too many subjects, without any profound theme. result - a film with Florin Piersic. and occasion for Valeria Seciu to create a decent character. a part from a long chain of ordinary movies under Communism. useful for nostalgics. and as testimony for the future generations.

Well .. the movie is chaotic, the situations are very hard to believe, and the performance of the actors is mediocre. After 41 years - some of the actors are still on stage (Florin Piersic, Valeria Seciu). Florin Piersic told in an interview that this is his most beloved movie... No comment on this opinion, but the car is very nice. Details about communist Romania in this movie: - the army uniforms - are the old Russian style uniforms, no golden oak leaves; but the badge of the Military Academy is very visible - the army camps of Bobocu and Buzau - the phones and radio sets - vintage items now - a portable magneto phone (no compact tape - or compact cassette at that time in Romania) - a red cabriolet car - that belonged to Florin Piersic (as a kid a saw an small accident downtown Bucharest with Florin Piersic driving this car) - the new (at that time) hotels in Mamaia, a very popular Romanian sea resort - the Romanian parachute designed by the Gen Maj Grigore Bastan, the military counselor for this movie

or almost amusing. but the theme is, obvious, real serious. only great problem is the manner to present it. and the chaotic collection of so different subjects. moralistic, simple, full of conscience problems and with the love story as spice, it has a good music and the chance of good job of Valeria Seciu. but nothing more because its story is unrealistic, the dialogues - parts from the vision of Comunist Party about relationships and the moral problems are empty balls. the errors of commander and the honesty with himself are good ideas but the used manner are wrong, confuse and hilarious. after decades, a nice film. not different by many other from the same period. but nice for the song of Aura Urziceanu.and, sure, for the good intentions of director, scriptwriter and actors.
