not only for the status of splendid adaptation. or for the great performances - Dana Dogaru and Gina Patrichi especially -. for the music of Liviu Vasilache. or for the landscapes. but for the science to tell a seductive, bitter, touching story by Cristiana Nicolae. an impossible love story. and its brutal end. atmosphere who reminds the magic realism. use of Romanian folklore in inspired manner. inspired science to reinvent a world and the force of tradition. the silence as axis of drama. and the search of sense in small pieces who defines yourself. travel across shadows of past inspired by La hanul lui Mînjoală by I. L. Caragiale, the film propose a special image of an old universe , alive for its status of root of national conscience.

trip between real and fantastic, great music by Liviu Vasilache and inspired adaptation of I.L. Caragiale work, it is a kind of rare piece for a genre who seduce always. love story and magic story, subtle exploration of levels of text, cruel and precise, absurd and deep Balcanic, in skin of fairy tale and impressive for the splendid performance of Dana Dogaru, for the silent force of Gina Patrichi job, touching images and delicate tragedy, it has not only virtues of a classic Romanian text but the science to explore and expose in right manner many ingredients of a civilization. a film who could have the gift to be useful and beautiful travel in past. and to remember the name of a talented director.
