when I first saw this movie I did not read the plot yet. I Was guessing.Since I don't understand much German.I Though it was about two brothers played by Albert Matterstock and Volker Von Collande who wanted to get Germany into airplanes to compete with the Wright brothers. Wrong. It's about a Calvary officer in the military who tries to convince the military that planes would be good in it.So Albert and his friend Volker both start to build individually airplanes . His finance ,played by Lenny Marenbach, is skeptical about it.A scene where she and her mother have a disagreement about it while they are sewing.But his mother has faith in him and helps him or is it his mother?.Brigitte Horney talks it over to her at the air field as she watches her boy friend,blond curly and Aryan Werner Fuetterer landing from experimental air plane.Volkans sister shows up I think as his sister since the IMDb doesn't state her characters as Frau. She fussing at Albert's mother when she been holding back that her brother is getting involved in flight, I think.Later on Brigitte is back at the field to watch her boy friend flying and experimental airplane and starts to worry. As he takes off, she runs into little airplane building since she doesn't want to look. As he starts to fly the new airplane all of a sudden it back fires and he crashes. She hears it and runs out . Hes wasn't injured much.During a public plane contest Volcan runs with the rest of his contestants his airplane. As he takes off and gets higher the air plane vibrates bad that the engine flies off. the plane crashes. He either is injured or dead . In the end with the aid of his girl friend Albert decides to take off in his improved airplane to show to the Cavalry. But Werner wants to fly it to the military but at the protest of Brigitte . He get sin the plane and begins to take off but at a distance he stops . He changes his mind and Albert and Lenny both get on the plane. He successfully drives the plane up to the air with his girl friend. They meet with the Calvary.This was an excellent film on the suppose history of German flight. The costumes were accurate for the time it took place. I think Reichs Kino has this
