- a main theme of the movie is why Punks fight other people groups and why other people groups fight punks and the reasons they do so.
- there is one scene involving a brutal beating of skinhead punks (nothing bloody or graphic shown, and is seen from a distance....but still rough)
- several mosh pits during the concert scene
- several fist fights done schoolyard style
- a man threatens to kill 3 teenagers (he points a gun at them) because he thinks they are Satanists (they arent)
- a drunk teenager kicks out the window of a cop car, then breaks free
- Mark points a gun at Bob and meanly asks if he stole his pot (implying hes going to shoot him)
- Shaun chases his mom through the house with a knife thinking she is Satan (he is high on acid)
- at the beginning of the movie a character punches out a window and bleeds severely,
- ... and later on the hand is shown swollen and bloody after bandanges are removed
- when sandy is having sex with the other boy SteveO proceeds to punch the boy several times in the face and is shown with bloody nose and lip
- When Sandy and Steve-O are high on Acid...Steve-O somehow kills a snake and drips its blood into the river (more disturbing than violent)
- ...Steve-O then graphically describes how a group of people were killed by a cult leader in a forest.

- several scenes are shown with characters using and tripping on these drugs
- Bob is known for not doing anything besides Smoking and Drinking
- ...therefore earning him his nickname "Heroin Bob"

Frightening & Intense Scenes

- The movie is a comedy and mostly hilarious but has an important message/lesson the film does contain dark and emotionally intense scenes.
- there is a scene where Mark is describing how his family died in a plane crash and graphically tells how they died
- when SteveO and Sandy get high on Acid in the park, several disturbing things are shown, including SteveO killing a snake and letting its blood drip into the river, and Sandy having a dream of Armageddon
- While at a party, several drunk kids try to summon Satan (it doesnt work)
- Shaun, while tripping, chases his mom through his house with a butcher knife (shown quickly, but still intense)
