Official submission of Thailand for the 'Best Foreign Language Film' category of the 70th Academy Awards in 1998.
Fay Pansringarm was a main character in the film, as Rose's mother. She is a ballet dancer in real life that's why she played the foreign mother who was a ballet teacher in that movie. The actress Rose is Thai and Dutch and so one parent needed to be a Caucasian. The director invited Fay as she had taught dance to his own children. Fay in real life danced with The Maryland, New Jersey and Savannah Ballet companies and founded and directed the RockVille Dance Company in NYC pioneering the collaboration of ballet and punk rock.
