not that bad
corcor8512 September 2005
No one said this was worthy of any kind of awards, but its not a bad watch at least once. Anyone whos ever watched a soap knows who deidre hall is, so she IS known to a lot of people. She was just trying to tell her story to people who were uneducated about surrogacy. She wasn't saying its better than adoption or that there was something wrong with adoption, she just wanted to have her kids the way she wanted. It is touching how she doesn't give up after years and years. The 1 thing thats kind of, un-needed, is the humor thats thrown in there. It seems like a lot of inside jokes that no one else would know. For instance Wayne Northrop and his wife Lynn Herring appear several times, but its never explained who they were. To someone watching who has never watched Days of Our Lives, those parts might be confusing. She drops a lot of names that i guess would make a soap fan notice and think that it was a good joke, but i think she should have stayed away from that. my opinion is to Watch it once

Fantastic! A must see for any Deidre Hall Fan.

I personaly think that this Doco was a great presentation. I would be inclined to disagree with the comments made by another user. Obviously, she was not a Deidre Hall fan. If you don't like Deidre Hall, then you will not like this movie but if you do like her and are a big fan like myself then you will like it. 9 and 1/2 out of ten! Keep up the good work Dee.

Always say Never to Viewing Tripe like this.....
rbrb6 October 2003
This is an extremely dreary and tedious tale of a minor "celebrity" who most people in the world have never heard of, and would be better off not doing so. The scenario is of a selfish woman who unable to conceive a child goes to enormous lengths including at least one "husband" to get herself a child. Not only is the film pure propaganda it is an exercise showing how self-centered these so called "celebrities" really are. In one ludicrous piece in this fantasy we even have a shylock style agent who apparently is so upset in losing his 10% he dies of a broken heart. With all the orphan children in the world why not simply adopt? Well of course the answer is to do that would dampen the ego of the individuals making "tripe" like this. 1 out of 10.

I thought this was a wonderful biographical and enteresting look at Ms. Hall's life.

This movie was a tasteful look at the struggles with infertility Ms. Hall faced in her search for motherhood. It shows her fighting for what she wanted so badly, and finally achieving her ultimate goal through surrogacy. I personally enjoyed this movie not only because I am a fan of Ms. Hall's, but because of the deep and extraordinary story the movie portrays so brilliantly.

Everyone has a special dream in their heart!
PonderosaLover22 September 2004
After a Sunday afternoon party with four of my close friends, we decided to watch a movie starring Daniel Hugh Kelly. Needless to say, we love him to the end of the earth! When the film started, we were not aware of the positive messages each of us would individually receive from a movie about wanting children. WOW, we were all inspired differently. Yet all coming away with HOPE. This is a film done with romantic taste, yet filled with family LOVE. It also sends the message that no matter who you are, you have to deal with human realities. Everyone will get an inspiring, positive message that makes you stop to think about your dreams. Are you trying to achieve them? Get prepared to get a warm fuzzy feeling on the fourth of July!!!! ~Both Diedre and Danny were super~

I absolutely LOVED this movie.

I'm Norwegian and I am probably one of the people that the above poster referred to as someone who wouldn't have any idea who Deidre Hall is…But let me tell you this; I DO know who she is. And she has impressed me with her talent countless time over the years. So please, don't diminish the woman's fame outside the American borderline, we are well aware of who she is and what she has accomplished.

As for the movie, I absolutely loved it. It's a story that needed to be told and a story that tells of an amazing human being that never gave up on her lifelong wish to become a mother. It has nothing to do with preferring surrogacy over adoption; it's simply a story about a woman who chooses what feels right in her heart.

Warning: Spoilers
Just viewed it again on DVD yesterday and once again brought me to tears. Thank you Deidre for putting this together to give other women in the same situation hope. Was really sad seeing how badly Deidre wanted a family and was soooo happy for her when it worked out. Always been a huge Deidre Hall fan and this was well put together to tell the story she wanted to tell. One of my fav films.
