French asphalt jungle.
dbdumonteil14 April 2002
John Huston's classic "asphalt jungle" had been released the year before, and it might have influenced this now forgotten film.No matter if it's primarily a play adapted for the screen, the director efficiently uses the seashore :a shot shows Edwige Feuillère,walking along the sea;her silhouette becomes a shadow and disappears, then a wave washes off her footprints.

The plot is pure film noir. After a robbery ,gangsters are tracked down by the police.A corrupt lawyer and female betrayal recall "asphalt jungle"as well. The lines often verge on black humor. Edwige Feuillère portrays the only ambiguous character, the other ones are familiar faces of the film noir.Watchable but not particularly memorable.
