Man is hired to marry a woman who is pregnant by a married man. She carries on the affair even after the wedding (he knew it was going to happen) but he really is bothered that she won't become independent of either her lover or her controlling father. Complications arise as feelings for her husband are aroused...and what about her sister? Okay potboiler is a film version of a trashy novel. You read it because you need to be distracted and hate yourself for staying with it to the end. You'll be engrossed while it's on but wonder why you watched it to the end. Its a a time killer and little more. Not bad but on the other hand it's ultimately forgettable
