Paramount knew they had a hit when Bob Hope sang "Thanks For The Memory" with Shirley Ross in THE BIG BROADCAST OF 1936. It became Hope's theme song. It also became one of the last Screen Songs cartoon from the Fleischers, with Bert Block and His Bell Music. Block left the life of a performer in the 1950s and became a manager. He died in 1986 at age 74.

THe cartoons that precede the song are about trailers,; interestingly, the background buildings show Art Deco buildings.
