Self-destructive porn filler

Warning: Spoilers
Having just watched a movie spoiled by William Margold narration (ULTIMATE FANTASY), I was treated to another Margold disaster NIGHT FLIGHT, for which he takes writing credit besides appearing in the film. It's atrocious.

Director Phil Marshak is best-known for his idiotic horror paste-up jobs, like NIGHT TRAIN TO TERROR, where various movies, finished and unfinished are mashed together into a sort of omnibus film.

For NIGHT FLIGHT there is a hodge-podge of main footage, concerning a group of odd characters invited into a plane at night for a trip to Purgatory (just as in Marshak's mainstream films), but occasionally there are shot-on-video scenes which the narrator reminds us are "Meanwhile back on the ground" in nature, as lame an excuse for padding as possible. Much of this added junk features Serena and Jamie Gillis, smelling very much like their series of amateurish NYC bondage videos.

None of the film's action makes sense nor is it intended to, and the whole mess is so sloppy that on occasion we listen to dueling narrators simultaneously mouthing off.

Margold's concept of humor is from another dimension: we are treated to a dominatrix sticking a huge dildo up Margold's ass (not shown explicitly), either because he digs it or maybe saw it done once in a Phil Prince movie. There's no continuity -sometimes Gillis is giving Serena a hard time, and in other filler he is shown with other girls.

The entire farrago ends up with the cast nude descending the plane's steps with angel wings on their shoulders with plenty of smoke machines at work. But just before this finale we are treated to a montage of cum shots accompanied by the Hallelujah Chorus.

One wonders how low filmmakers will stoop and still consider their effort worth handing in. I cannot imagine any sort of quality assurance system in effect at a movie or video company that would let this level of ineptitude slip through into release.
