Wonderland would be great without the people

Warning: Spoilers
If you have seen 'Westler' you will know the frustration a good story can convey to the viewer. David in Wonderland follows the exploits of two boys - one Amish and one without any real religion where the Amish boy is introduced to all those things which are ignored, banned or the work of the devil which the rest of us take for granted. It is one of those 'I disagree with your world, but will defend your right to live in it' stories with the inhabitant, David, looking to break away against overwhelming odds. The two young actors are superb and immerse themselves into the roles to make both lives totally credible and understandable. There is no hint of their relationship going too far, but with so much pressure on David it would have been understandable if the story had taken that path. Another 'Westler' type ending with so much unsaid and so frustrating - and if you feel that, it has achieved its goal.
