Standing at the base of the prison wall, Rogers shoots an arrow straight up toward Major Stoddard's cell window. The arrow apparently must have made a 90 degree turn after it reached the level of the window, in order to enter the window. Quite a shot.
After giving Alan Hale's character a bath, the Major is met by General Amherst and a Colonel. The colonel describes how they handle recruits in the Grenadier Guards. The French and Indian War was in 1763; the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards did not get the title "Grenadier Guards" until the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
