The animals enjoy a day at the beach while Salty Maguire -- a mouse in a sailor's uniform rescues a long-legged mouse in a one-piece bathing suit from the octopus in this early Terrytoon.
I think I see the beginnings of the Terrytoon operetta that I know best from the ending showings of Pearl Pureheart being rescued from Oil Can Harry's mill saw by Mighty Mouse. Philip Scheib's score at this stage is simple and owes most of its musical points to stage-center recitative. The plot, however, is the same as it always was and the evil octopus is drawn in precisely the same manner as Terry's evil Spiders, albeit with some bubbles nearby to indicate it's water.
