Subhash Ghai, who started off his long and illustrious innings with Bollywood as an actor with small roles in films including Taqdeer and Aradhana, later went onto become 'The Showman' of tinsel town. Not many know that he was also the hero of films like Umang and Gumraah, before he directed the cult film Kalicharan. After all these years of 'contributing' his bit to Bollywood and with many awards in his kitty, it is time for yet another award to add to his collection. This time round, it is the prestigious Iifa award, wherein Ghai will be conferred upon the 'Lifetime achievement award'. Subhash Ghai's last film was Kaanchi: The Unbreakable, which did not do well at the box-office.
