The intro of the song Tere Dar Par Sanam Chale Aaye was sampled from intro of The Theme of Summer of 42.
Pooja Bedi was angry with Mahesh Bhatt about the way her role turned out. She felt cheated and lied to. She was promised equal footage as Pooja Bhatt. Pooja Bedi also accused Mahesh Bhatt of slashing her role to bits. The final product made it an out and out Pooja Bhatt film. Pooja Bedi insisted she only agreed to do a TV movie because of the promise that she had a good role in the film. When she realized what was going wrong,she insisted to the producer Johnny Bakshi that she be credited as a Guest Appearance. Later Pooja stated her father Kabir Bedi advised her it was wrong to do the film. Kabir did not like the idea of Mahesh exploiting Praveen Babi's life for financial gain.
Many were surprised it ended up as a television movie with low production values. The cinematography made it look like a Indian TV serial.
Praveen Babi was upset with Mahesh Bhatt making the film. She stated that he told lies in the film and she could never forgive him for spreading false information thru the film. Many belived after she first saw Arth she had a breakdown. Phir Tere Kahani Yaad Ayee once again mentally disturbed her.
