Filmed stage show - not a movie
hoversj1 June 2003
This is more of a curiosity than an actual movie - it appears to be a filmed burlesque performance, alternating between comedy routines and "classic" stripteases.

Striptease Girl is probably only interesting for a burlesque enthusiast - the stripteases are fairly tepid and tedious. The comedy routines are typical, but still pretty funny - though the film in the comedy sequences seems to be in much worse shape than the dancers' clips (at least in the copy I watched).

I'm probably not the best person to review the dancers' appeal - neither being male nor inclined - so I have to evaluate them on talent... sigh. I can, however, see why Tempest Storm is the star - she is certainly more interesting to watch than any of the other dancers (though I did enjoy the "Irish Lass" who seemed to be having trouble with her costume - I hope that was part of her act, since it made her stand out from everyone else...).
