Road movie in quest of paternal love and affection

Great that this movie is presented here. It is among my all-time favorites. The strongest and most appealing theme is the bond between father and son. Niccolo Matteo Casagrande is outstanding in here. He plays young Paul, a boy who yearns for appreciation and love by his father. The movie is presented as a road movie. Paul's dad is a trucker, so the boy runs away from home and hides in his truck to be with him on his next tour. The problem is that Paul had leukaemia many years ago, and his latest health check indicates that he has a backfall. He doesn't know that, neither does his dad. On their tour they discover a real bond of affection. It is heartbreaking how Paul tries to hide the signs of his illness, as this would mean having to leave his dad. The emotional climax comes when his dad realises the symptoms. Back then when Paul was ill for the first time he hadn't been able to see his son suffer, so he never went to the hospital, which Paul interpreted as missing love. Now, grown in courage and aware of his mistakes, Paul's dad stays with him. It's the story of a broken man who rediscovers his faith and the story of a boy whose infinite love for his dad helps him to survive and to overcome his illness. Wonderful acting, great road movie.
