Very heavy film based on a true story which is also very heavy which tells how a small village without any fault had to face the consequences of a war in which they had only found themselves in the middle. The plot is very beautiful and deep and the staging of the latter is very good and entertaining, there are obviously some problems such as for example the actors are not that great and they all act more or less badly enough without a particular expressiveness either in the salient moments, but in any case the film is valid for the story it wants to tell and which in the end it manages to tell in an acceptable way.
