Verses was shot in 22 nights at the Hang'n Java coffeehouse in Lancaster, CA.

Featured performer and author Bob Holman is an internationally recognized performance poet and activist. Holman also produced the miniseries The United States of Poetry.
Actor Christopher Jaymes performed the piano score which plays during the monologue that he delivers about the late actor River Phoenix.
Jean-Luc and Sabrina, the two six-foot steel sculptures adorning the Verses stage, were created by production designer and Los Angeles sculptor Cynthia Minet.
