Ninja muggers?!
HaemovoreRex2 September 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Times must be really bad in the ninja empire as indicated here when one ninja has the ignominy to resort to common robbery in a public park!

Fear not though, ninja master/cop and all around good guy Mark (Bruce Baron) is on hand to save the day! Not only that but he apparently possesses telekinetic powers as demonstrated when, using his mind alone (along with a hand gesture) he propels a branch across the fleeing ninja thief's path and trips him over! Wow! Is there no end to these guys abilities?! - Obviously not in a Godfrey Ho film!

Sadly the film pretty much goes downhill from here bar a few more impromptu fights involving our main man mark and various disposable ninja cronies although, as per usual, each of these encounters seldom lasts anymore than a few fleeting seconds, which is a real shame.

Pierre Tremblay once again fills the role of Mark's nemesis as he did in the infinitely superior 'Ninja Champion' (and we get to hear the same maniacal laugh again!)

The film into which the ninja segments have been added is a rather dull, run of the mill revenge actioner and it has to be said, is best viewed with one's finger firmly on the fast forward button.

Overall then, this is a decidedly average entry in the Godfrey Ho/Joseph Lai ninja cannon but is still nonetheless a harmless way to pass an hour and a half.

Ha ha ha ha - may contain spoilers

Warning: Spoilers
The movie is so outrageously bad it's a classic. First off.....anyone notice in the graveyard scene where all the tombstones are adorned with Spanish names? There's only one place in Asia where you can find Asians with Spanish names and I'll give you the hint that it ain't Japan. This movie was filmed in the Philippines and it shows. One of the best scenes is when the "master" is fighting a group of ninjas and holding the toddler. It doesn't take a stretch of observational powers to see that the toddler is in fact a doll. This movie is a bit hard to follow in places and sometimes its difficult to figure out just who is Baron supposed to be fighting. Some of the greatest dialogue I've ever heard - "Youuuuuuuuu're one damn goooooooood ninja!" It's not the 36th chamber of Shaolin that's for sure. I dunno if you're into Filipino exploitation flicks this might be right up your alley. I doubt Baron got paid much over minimum wage for his acting (and I'm being generous in the use of that term) so you can imagine what the rest of them got.

Camouflage ninja - is the best ninja. (it is tradition of genre)

Great, great movie! Really great! The brilliant masterpiece of martial arts ninja movie. Classical plot - a one good ninja versus a gang bad ninjas. Five fights between ninjas - four against private members of ninja gang and a final duel versus chief-ninja. The last combat is a really good. Yes, the fighting scenes are not very long, but you must understand, if you fight with swords your first successful attack will be a last attack too. About Philippo part of movie - i am not a philippo. I do not understand their mentality... Watch only ninja part of this movie. You will get a good moody. Yes, Bruce Baron is not so cool as Richard Harrison but Richard Harrison is a professional actor (italian school) and a cool man, but Bruce... is only a cool guy. I'm sorry for my English.
