Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • There is some very mild, child like fighting between a couple of knights on horses. It's rather silly, but still there is a bit of disconcerting abstraction to it that small children still might find a bit scary.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There is a party at the end that implies some 'strange' concoctions, but nothing that smaller children would recognize. It's all within the context of the party and the abstract nature of the film.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scenes with the jabberwalky are the most intense and potentially frightening, even for kids up to 10 years old. Adults will find the scenes silly, but the music, the jolting nature of the cinematography, and the narration during the scenes will come together to be perhaps more than some smaller kids can handle. I should not be at all surprised if the scenes with the jabbewalky were what gave the movie the PG rating, but only just barely.
