  [Timmy and Jenny run in the hall and they encounter some rats who is actually Justin and his crew]

  17 Year Old Tim : Run Jenny run!

  [Timmy jumps at Justin but he grabs Timmy and puts him down] 

  Justin : Hold on Tim! It's okay.

  17 Year Old Tim : Justin. What are you doing here?

  Justin : We decided Jenny was right. The lost six belong in Thorn Valley. So we came here to help rescue them. Watch our backs!

  17 Year Old Tim : Not again!

  Justin : Will you listen?

  17 Year Old Tim : Fine! Leave me behind! I'm going to look for my brother. Martin? Martin where are you?

  [Tim wanders off in the hall] 

• Narrator : [Opening lines]  In the beginning, they were just ordinary street rats. Until, they were captured by man and taken to NIMH. The National Institute for Mental Health. They went through experiments. For some strange reason, they become intelligent. They found, they could read. And so they escaped through the ventilation system. None of them would've survived, were it not for that incredible bravery of that great mouse Johnathan Brisby. But alas, he could not save himself. The wisest of creatures, the great owl once said, Johnathan Brisby was the bravest of them all.

  Justin : Tonight we journey to Thorn Valley, We must leave no evidence that the Rats of NIMH ever existed.

  Narrator : But Johnathan Brisby's widow and her family stay behind in a home they'd always known. The prophet Nicodemus predicted that NIMH will again thrust its evil on the grass and a son of Johnathan Brisby will be chosen to save them.

• Justin : Tim.

  17 Year Old Tim : What did I do now?

  Justin : You know where I can find a volunteer for tonight's collection detail?

  17 Year Old Tim : Me?

• Justin : [Timmy and Jenny are in the Courtroom on trial]  Tim you left your post, you put us all in danger.

  17 Year Old Tim : But I...

  Justin : You've got to learn to listen, you always think you know better than everyone else.

  17 Year Old Tim : I know and I'm sorry. But that doesn't change the fact that Jenny can read.

  Mr. Ages : Is that true young lady? Can you really read?

  Jenny McBride : Yes. Look, I've been sent here to find you.

  Mr. Ages : To find us? We don't want to be found. Who would know about us?

  Jenny McBride : My parents to start with.

  Mr. Ages : And who might your parents be?

  Jenny McBride : The McBrides.

  Mr. Ages : What! Well I'll be. Two of the lost six.

  Justin : That's impossible, they were lost when they escaped from NIMH.

  [a flashback comes up showing the lost rats escape from NIMH through the ventilation. The rats landed in the basement and took care of each other. Then the rats were recaptured by Dr. Valentine and his scientist assistants getting caught in a net and being caged up, Dr. Valentine laughs] 

  Jenny McBride : No, they were swept away into the ventilation system but they ended up in the basement. They stayed there until the injured got better. Just when they tried again to escape, that's when it happened. They were recaptured by Dr. Valentine.

  [the flashback ends and it shows Timmy and Jenny back in the courtroom] 

  Jenny McBride : Everything has changed in the labs. Dr Valentine is crazier than ever. My parents and the others sent me to find you, you've just got to help.

  Mr. Ages : I'm afraid you asked too much of us Ms. McBride.

  Jenny McBride : But something terrible is about to happen at NIMH. No one knows what it is. But it has something to do with the next full moon.

  Mr. Ages : The full moon?

• 17 Year Old Tim : Justin, where to tonight?

  Justin : Where the humans live. To collect things they throw away. Shh. We're almost there.

  17 Year Old Tim : What do I have to use a whistle for anyway?

  Brutus : Ohh. To warn us, in case killer shows up. Heh heh.

  17 Year Old Tim : Killer?

  Brutus : The meanest, baddest watchdog around these parts.

  Justin : Yeah, he could be anywhere. So keep your eyes open.

  [Justin and the mice sneaks over to the dumpster but Justin blocks Timmy's path] 

  Justin : Hold it.

  17 Year Old Tim : Huh.

  Justin : You stay here and keep watch.

  17 Year Old Tim : But, I wanna be in on the action.

  Justin : You're not ready to be a hero Tim.

  Brutus : [Brutus gives Tim a whiste]  Don't blow it kid! I mean... you know what I mean.

  17 Year Old Tim : But I...

  Justin : No buts. You're part of a team. Stay on guard.

  17 Year Old Tim : Tag along Timmy! That's all I'm ever gonna be! I'm never gonna see any real action.

  [Tim throws his whistle to the ground] 

  Justin : Almost there! Let's keep it down! Keep it down!

  [Justin and the mice climb up to the dumpster] 

• Jenny McBride : What's taking them so long to decide?

  17 Year Old Tim : Don't worry Jenny. Mr. Ages says good things comes to those who wait.

  Jenny McBride : I can't wait! Do you have any idea what it's like at NIMH? They're living in cages waiting for the scientist to do, who knows what to them. How could you know. I mean, just look at this place. But no one here ever worries about their family.

  [Jenny looks over the balcony and watches the mice playing in town] 

  17 Year Old Tim : Well I do? I haven't seen them since I came to Thorn Valley.

  Jenny McBride : Gasp! They're here.

  [Justin and Mr. Ages walks in the room] 

  Jenny McBride : The answer's no, isn't it.

  Mr. Ages : We're very sorry.

  Justin : The council decided that the risk to Thorn Valley was just too great. We can't go.

  Jenny McBride : I guess I'm going to have to do it myself. I'm not going to let anything happen to my mother and father and that's that!

  [Jenny tries to walk out but then, Brutus blocks Jenny's path] 

  Brutus : I can't let you leave.

• 17 Year Old Tim : [Jenny whistles at Justin]  Justin! Brutus! Over here.

  Brutus : Hungry big guy? Killer want a cracker.

  [Justin, Brutus and the mice throws the crackers at the dog, Tim and Jenny hold the gate until Justin, Brutus and the rest of the mice ran safely out of the gate, Tim and Jenny let go of the gate and it closes on the bulldog and he barks at them] 

  17 Year Old Tim : Justin! She can read!

  Justin : Read?

• Mr. Ages : Sound the alarm! Sound the alarm!

  [Mr. Ages runs out of the door and Brutus wakes up] 

  Brutus : Yow! What in the name of Nicodemus?

  Mr. Ages : She's gone into the canal! And Tim is with her.

  Brutus : Doh! Get the others! I'll catch them at the bridge!

  [Brutus runs over to the bridge and sees the saltshakers floating and grabs both of them] 

  Brutus : Okay! Party's over! What? Huh, What the... Well what do you know.

  Justin : We've got to stop them! For Thorn Valleys sake! Spread out along the canal, they wont get far!

  [Justin and the mice run around, meanwhile up in the tree, Tim and Jenny in the basket open the trash can with three helium balloons floating their basket into the sky. And Justin looks at the trash can] 

  Justin : What? Well I'll be.

  Jenny McBride : Um... You sure you've flown one of these things before?

  17 Year Old Tim : Ah hundreds of times. From the ground.

  Jenny McBride : If we die, I'm going to kill you.

  17 Year Old Tim : We're not gonna die. We're on a mission.

  [They fly high up in the sky] 

  Jenny McBride : Don't worry mom and dad! I'll save you! Even Dr. Valentine can't stop us!

  17 Year Old Tim : NIMH, here we come!

  Jenny McBride : I gotta admit. The view is not too shabby.

• Jenny McBride : Mom! Dad! You're alright!

  [Jenny sees the lost six mice including her Mother and Father inside their cages. Mr. and Mrs. McBride walks over to the bars] 

  Mr. McBride : Jenny. You shouldn't have come back. The moon is full tonight, we're all in danger!

  Justin : We'll have you all out in a second.

  Mrs. McBride : Justin, is that really you? Help us!

  Justin : To the rescue. Let's get you out of here.

  [Then all of a sudden Floyd grabs Justin and Brutus. And Muriel grabs 2 more rat crew members] 

  Muriel : Gotcha! Ooh I'm so sorry did I startle you!

  17 Year Old Tim : Martin?

  [Tim looks in the door] 

  Jenny McBride : Tim! Cats!

  17 Year Old Tim : Oh no!

  [Tim runs back to help his friends]
