  • 10 Year Old Timmy : This was our last race together and I ruined it. I'm sorry Martin.

    Young Martin : Nah. I'll be the sorry one if something happens to you hero. Ha ha ha.

    10 Year Old Timmy : Don't call me that Martin. You're the hero type, not me. Nicodemus would've chosen you.

    Young Martin : For once you're right, I'm older and stronger than you. If thorn Valley wanted Jonathan Brisby's son, Why'd they pick the runt?

    10 Year Old Timmy : It's true. I mess up everything.

    Young Martin : Look I'm sorry Timmy. you'll do great, really. Come on or you'll miss your flight. Hey, wait a minute. I've got something for you. Here a going away present.

    [Martin gives Timmy his slingshot] 

    10 Year Old Timmy : Golly for real? Teach me.

  • 10 Year Old Timmy : Martin! Huh? Ahh! What? Ow! Hey! What's going on?

    [Then the cage door closed behind Timmy and the alarm goes off] 

    Dr. Valentine's Assistant : I think we've caught one Dr. Valentine.

    [Then Dr. Valentine and his Assistant runs over with their nets to the cage] 

    10 Year Old Timmy : Help! I'm trapped! Martin help!

    Young Martin : Timmy? Oh! I told him to stay on the path, he never listens.

    [Martin gets off the walnut shell and lets the rabbit go. He then runs over to the cage] 

    10 Year Old Timmy : Martin help me.

    [Then Martin struggles to lift the latch up] 

    Young Martin : Lift the door.

    [Timmy lifts up the cage door and escapes] 

    Young Martin : Run!

    [They both run off while Dr. Valentine and his Assistant arrive to find an empty cage] 

    Dr. Valentine's Assistant : It has to be one of the escaped rats Dr.

    [Dr. Valentine picks up the cages and looks at it] 

    Dr. Valentine's Assistant : He was smart enough to undo the latch. They must be close.

    Dr. Valentine : It's them!

    [Then Dr. Valentine and his assistant run to search for them] 

  • 10 Year Old Timmy : Wow what a shot!

    [after watching the slingshot hit the acorns on the tree branches] 

    Young Martin : Just set your sights, concentrate on the target and let er rip. Come on Timmy you can do this, aim a little higher now, and fire!

    [Timmy struggles to pull the slingshot but the sling snaps back and hits his head knocking him to the ground] 

    Young Martin : Ha ha ha, that's using your head hero. I know you're trying. Just remember some try Brisbys do.

    [Timmy gets back up and Martin gives the slingshot back to Timmy] 

    10 Year Old Timmy : When I grow up, I wanna be just like you Martin.

    Young Martin : Yeah well, everybody's got a different mouse in mind.

    10 Year Old Timmy : I can do it just like Whoa!

    [Then Auntie Shrew calls out Timmy's name] 

    Auntie Shrew : Timmy!

    [Tim slips and accidentally fires a slingshot and shoots a pebble in the sky] 

  • Cynthia : Oh my! Are you okay Jeremy?

    [Then Jeremy climbs out of the water] 

    Jeremy : Gasp! I'm okay no problem. I'll fly Timmy... to Thorn Valley. No problem. The white zone is for the loading and unloading. Of passengers only.

    [Mrs. Brisby picks up Timmy and places him on the stump] 

    Mrs. Jonathan Brisby : There. Now son, you listen to your teachers Justin and Mr. Ages. Okay?

    10 Year Old Timmy : Okay. But...

    Mrs. Jonathan Brisby : And what do you do if you're ever really in trouble?

    Teresa : Run! What else?

    [Teresa and Cynthia both laugh. And Mrs. Brisby glares at them] 

    10 Year Old Timmy : I'm supposed to find the Great Owl just like you did but...

    Mrs. Jonathan Brisby : That's my boy.

    [Then Mrs. Brisby kisses Timmy on the forehead] 

    10 Year Old Timmy : Mom, I don't wanna go.

    [Timmy hugs his mom] 

    Mrs. Jonathan Brisby : Timmy, we all know what your father meant to the Rats of Thorn Valley.

    Young Martin : Yeah, yeah, yeah. He helped them get away from NIMH. Pop was a real hero.

    Mrs. Jonathan Brisby : That's right and...

    10 Year Old Timmy : I know, you want me to be like him but.

    Young Martin : But nothing. Okay hero, let's saddle up. Come on Jeremy time to make tracks.

    Jeremy : That's exactly why I'm here. So let's hit the road. Well, when I say road I mean ha, that highway in the sky actually.

    [Timmy holds out his slingshot] 

    Young Martin : Nah keep it. Someday you'll figure it out. Timmy!

    [Timmy Hugs Martin] 

    10 Year Old Timmy : I'll miss you Martin, you're the best big brother ever.

    [Then Timmy climbs up on Jeremys back] 

    Mrs. Jonathan Brisby : Are you sure you know the way Jeremy?

    Jeremy : Piece of cake Mrs. B. Thorn Valley is um. You know ha hee. Why it's um.

    Young Martin : South by south by south.

    Jeremy : Right, right. South by, what you said exactly. As the crow flies.

    10 Year Old Timmy : Bye mom!

    Mrs. Jonathan Brisby : Bye Timmy, be good. Don't forget to write.

    [Then Jeremy gets ready to fly] 

  • Jeremy : So long everybody!

    10 Year Old Timmy : Bye Martin!

    [Then Jeremy runs and flaps his wings] 

    Jeremy : Okay, little momentous hold on to my feathers. Here we go Whoa! High horse altitude we're right at it. Okay everybody boom! We have liftoff! Yo! Alright!

    [Everybody gasps as Jeremy flies and dives down and then flies right up] 

    Auntie Shrew : Oh no.

    Mrs. Jonathan Brisby : Watch over our son Jonathan.

    Auntie Shrew : We'll my nephew's off to a grand future, what a lucky boy.

    Young Martin : Yeah! Lucky's right! I'm older and stronger, but he gets to go!

    Mrs. Jonathan Brisby : It's not our decision Martin.

    Auntie Shrew : The Great Nicodemus foretold it.

    Young Martin : Big hairy deal! Just because some old rat...

    Auntie Shrew : Don't be rude! Nicodemus wasn't just some old rat young man! He was the...

    Young Martin : I don't care who he was? I have a destiny too! It's just not fair!

    [Martin runs off] 

    Auntie Shrew : Oh!

    Mrs. Jonathan Brisby : Martin!

    Jeremy : Oh the heck with him. He always was a rude little piglet.
