It's a cold Saturday night, deep within the heart of Kenosha, Wisconsin, as the black-shirted legions are making their decent upon an odd venue for a night of metal. Recently signed to Metal Blade Records, hometown boys Lazarus A.D. are staging a release party show for their album The Onslaught (see our review here), which arrives in-stores this Tuesday.
The last-minute show is not taking place at a nightclub, a bar, or any kind of remotely traditional venue. It's McKinley Elementary School, and the only "students" are those who came to rock.
I arrived at the school just prior to 6pm for the all-ages affair, my pregnant wife at my side (she took most of the photos you'll see below), with Free Fangoria T-Shirts and Magazines in-tow.
