It takes place in a retirement home for old timers. This reminds me some comedies such as Hubert Cornfield's LES GRANDS MOYENS, where old people committed crime or robberies, I don't remember exactly.
Anyway this comedy is although very amusing, entertaining especially with the likes of Eduardo Ciannelli and Claude Rains. Old timers who intend to pull a last job. A bank job. I have always craved for robbery tales. I guess there was some other topics like this one over the years. Yes folks, all those old timers, former gangsters for most of them, ask for our sympathy.
Comedies are not my cup of tea and will never be, but this one retained my attention. Maybe in the Italian fashion, you know, the movies starring Toto and made by Mario Monicelli or Dino Risi...But I am not an Italian film industry specialist.
