Fine documentary about the spreading of Germany's Nazi rule thoughout Europe in WWII and the horrific violence that came with it. This film basically documents the major trial of the Nazi war criminals and the violent acts that they were accused of. There are some pretty rough scenes of the people in the Nazi concentration camps and many shots of dead corpses and body parts. Secrets of the Nazi Criminals is well narrated and well directed. I would recommend this movie to anyone wanting to see the actual horrifying reality behind the Nazis during their reign in WWII.

The Ugly Reality

I first saw this film around 1970 in my teens. I knew of course of the crimes of Nazi Germany but this film really shocked me. It shows the awful banality of terror and the unsensational style only increases the sense of nausea and dread.A pile of children's shoes, a mountain of spectacles, a hill of teeth smashed out to remove gold fillings, offers to the imagination than the explicit, but be warned, there is plenty of that too.It is impossible to be unmoved by this film. It is not a depressing film though; it is more likely to fill you with the determination not to let this ever happen again. The film is also free of any hint of Zionism. It had a profound effect on me and I later become very involved in anti-fascist and anti-racist activity.
