This is an excellent documentary about a little-known immigration story of Jews who fled to Shanghai in the late 30s because no other countries would take them in. (Which is so disgusting and another story on its own.)
I was amazed at how well-told the stories of the immigrants were done - and the interviews with them.
The film and photos that are inserted are excellent.
This is a most difficult story that has been explained well - and carefully.
The ability of the Jews to make a life in a country that was so totally different from their own is a testament to how people can mold themselves into new places when they have to.
This will stay with me for a long time and will be referring to it a lot.
So glad we have this on record now. Thank you to the film makers!
