Misty Dawn is a treat for the eyes in DREAMS OF MISTY. I am interested in film structure, so the movie's complex (and complicated as well) narrative was fun for me to dissect, but I'm not sure why anonymous filmmaker "Max Strand" adopted it.
Dawn is way too young looking for the opening framing story, portraying a psychiatrist Dr. Banks and discussing various case studies. This is a ploy to have her appear normal -namely about her own real age - in the various flashbacks to come.
First sex scene has a beautiful woman (Shalimar) masturbating and admitting that she fantasizes about Dr. Banks.
