Two contestants were paired with two celebrity players. In this version of the classic Goodson-Todman game, up to five passwords were played which led to the identity of a well-known person, place, thing, title, etc. The first two rounds were worth $100, with all subsequent rounds worth $200. The first team to score $300 (later $500) won the game and played "Alphabetics." In "Alphabetics," 10 passwords were given one at a time, each beginning with a successive letter of the alphabet (e.g. A through J). The contestant won $100 per correct guess, with a $5,000 prize for getting all 10 passwords within 60 seconds (a progressive jackpot was later added). Players continued until defeated or winning five (later seven) matches.
