The creator of The Wheel of Time is promising some unprecedented television when the adaptation of Robert Jordan’s fantasy series returns to Prime Video soon for a third season.
“The first 15 minutes of Season 3 is one of the most bonkers set pieces I’ve ever seen on television,” said executive producer Rafe Judkins, who together with stars Rosamund Pike and Daniel Henney, costume designer Sharon Gilham and make-up/hair designer Davina Lamont, sat down for a chat Tuesday at the Deadline Studio at Prime Experience. “I was just watching it this week and it is absolutely bananas what our team pulled off … just a bunch of women in their 40s and 50s shredding each other, and it is wonderful to behold.”

Enter Call of Duty: Zombies, a now canceled live-service project that was conceptualized around 2011-2012. We learned about this after Michael Gummelt, former Lead Designer at Software, revealed the project in a recent interview.
Call of Duty Zombies – What Could’ve Been Early development started on Call of Duty: Zombies after Call of Duty: Black Ops.

A Price Is Right contestant took a trip to the emergency room after winning a game of “Bonkers.”
The win earned the contestant named Henry a luxurious one-week trip to Hawaii – and a brief trip to the emergency room. While Henry was celebrating his upcoming vacation to the Aloha state, he dislocated his shoulder.
A video of Henry winning the game shows him jumping up and down and throwing his hands up, injuring himself in the process.
“Henry was celebrating and going, ‘Woo!’ and he dislocated his shoulder,” host Drew Carey explained. “Henry couldn’t spin the wheel, so his wife Alice had to step in. She, too, continued Henry’s streak, landing on 95 cents with the goal of nearing $1.”
As Alice took over the game and won, Carey joked, “Don’t hurt yourself.”
The game show later posted a video of Henry on their Instagram account with the caption,...

A “Price Is Right” contestant got a little too excited over his win during a recent episode.
Henry had been celebrating winning the game of Bonkers — which combines elements of Race Game, Split Decision, and One Away — on the show, jumping up and down.
As the show came back after a commercial break, host Drew Carey explained that Henry was going to have to have his wife spin the wheel due to him dislocating his shoulder while celebrating his win.

Lots of folks would be willing to give their right arm to play on The Price is Right. Apparently, a contestant named Henry took that challenge a little too literally.
On Thursday’s episode of the CBS show, Henry was so happy that he won the game of Bonkers that he managed to dislocate his right shoulder while jumping up and down in celebration. (The episode was taped in February).
When it came time to spin the wheel, Henry’s wife Alice had to take his place because, well, her hubby’s right arm was obviously hanging below his hips. Host Drew Carey had to explain why poor Henry couldn’t take a turn at the heavy wheel.
At least Alice brought good luck to Price is Right stage: She managed to land a 95 on the wheel, which sent Henry to the Showcase Showdown. He ended up winning a trip to Hawaii … and the ER.

Barbie fans are obsessed with one particular shot from the forthcoming film’s second trailer.

Viewers were quick to praise the clever shot on Twitter. Chrissy Teigen wrote: “I need to know everything about this shot. How many takes, if she held onto something, was she harnessed, is the landing mark sticky, are they her feet, who did the pedicure, really just a documentary on this shot.”

The Masked Singer returned to Fox for its seventh season with a slew of good, bad and cuddly contestants.
“Welcome to the premiere you’ve been waiting for,” said host Nick Cannon. “It’s the most bonkers season yet.”
You may have already assumed that given that the reality competition series has its most controversial character yet lined up – Deadline revealed earlier this month that Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who propagated the lie that the 2020 election was stolen, caused judges Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke to walk off stage after he was unmasked.
Giuliani, however, does not feature in the season opener, you’ll have to wait for that.
[Spoiler Alert] Tonight’s evictee, dressed as McTerrier, was Duff Goldman, pastry chef and star of Food Network series including Ace of Cakes and Duff Till Dawn.
Goldman, who sang Loverboy’s “Working for the Weekend,” had quite the eventful episode.

It wasn’t supposed to play out this way. WandaVision, Marvel’s wild Disney+ spinoff show about the further adventures of superheroes Scarlet Witch and Vision, was set to arrive later in the timeline of the new McU TV saga, but thanks to the industry-crippling events of 2020, the Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany-led show found itself front and center, replacing The Falcon and the Winter Soldier as an opening gambit.

“I never understood…. why a motel room?” The series finale of Room 104 took the words right out of our mouths.
The final curtain of the genre-defying anthology focuses on the passing of time — and the passing of the torch — as Keir (soulfully played by Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine) prepares for a mysterious Generation Ceremony that symbolizes his existence on… a space ship? (Didn’t see that one coming.) Let’s discuss this swan song from the top, shall we?

The pair of characters making up popular Game of Thrones romantic couple originally were conceived as brother and sister — and no, we’re not talking about Jaime and Cersei.
Missandei and Grey Worm — played by Nathalie Emmanuel and Jacob Anderson, respectively, on HBO’s juggernaut of a fantasy series — were at one point in the storytelling brother and sister. The revelation is one of many in Entertainment Weekly scribe James Hibberd’s new book on the TV show, Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon: Game of Thrones and the Official Untold Story of the Epic Series.

Lying atop the red velvety covers of an ornate four-poster bed in a gold-soaked set on a rainy day in London, a sickly looking Nicholas Hoult takes swigs from a bottle of water between takes.
"Men love me for my parties, women and … [gulp] … delicious food," he splutters moments later after the camera begins rolling (bottle now hidden under the blanket), groaning and retching while Elle Fanning, in a corseted light-green gown and tightly curled blond wig, stands at his feet, feigning concern.

Marvel has played with many genres, from spy thrillers to heists to high school comedy, but the upcoming Disney+ series WandaVision is threatening to blow other Marvel movies out of the water with its genre-bending and general wackiness. Though we know very little about the series centering around Elizabeth Olsen‘s Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany‘s […]

Adapting literature for television is the sharpest of double-edged swords.
Popular and well-loved texts come with a built-in fan base but they also come with the most fanatical of critics.

Neil Gaiman's fans may be some of the most excitable and voracious mobs around.
Over the last couple of decades, his work has been adapted for stage and film as well as television to varying degrees of praise and ire.
Currently, on television, Starz has renewed American Gods for a third season while Amazon Prime Video released the complete Good Omens series on May 31st.
However, these two series just scratch the surface of Gaiman's incredibly diverse bibliography. His writing is full of worlds, adventures, and characters just waiting to be actualized on our TV screens.

Netflix has lassoed a leading man for its upcoming Cowboy Bebop series: John Cho (The Exorcist) will star in the streamer’s live-action version of the ’90s Japanese anime phenomenon.
As previously reported, the future-set Cowboy Bebop — which snagged a 10-episode order in November — will follow a ragtag crew of bounty hunters on the run from their pasts as they hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals. They’ll even save the world… for the right price.
Cho will star as Spike Spiegel, described as an impossibly cool “cowboy” (aka bounty hunter) with a deadly smile, wry wit and style to spare.

‘Overlord’ Is A Fun, Sometimes Silly Mash-Up Of Classic War Film And Gonzo Grindhouse Flick [Review]
If you took “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” mashed it up with some gonzo grindhouse pics, doused it in shaken-up cans of original Four Loko and then lit it on fire, laughing while it burned, you might begin to approach the craziness that is “Overlord.” That’s a lot for one metaphor, but “Overlord” is also a lot. Director Julius Avery takes the tropes of traditional World War II movies and turns into capital-b-Bonkers horror, adding gruesome lab experiments into the mix to melt your face off, because, well, why not?

You might be thinking to yourself that even the great Michael Shannon has to do a paycheck gig now and then. After all, it seems the only plausible explanation for why he’d appear in the cheap looking, wacky comedy “Pottersville,” right? Well, he’s also the executive producer, so let that sink in for a moment.
Somehow, director Seth Henrikson managed not only to rope in Shannon, but also Judy Greer, Christina Hendricks, Ron Perlman, and Ian McShane for his feature debut, about a man who is mistaken for Bigfoot, causing a lucrative, media hyped frenzy in his otherwise unassuming, small town.

Following the success of last year’s The Lorax, Christopher Meledandri from Illumination Entertainment is reportedly working on a new animated version of Dr. Seuss classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Melendandri will produce with Seuss’ widow Audrey Geisel onboard as an executive producer and Pete Candeland set to make his feature directorial debut. After working as an animator on Balto and Bonkers among others, Candeland has been behind the music videos for the animated band Gorillaz. In 2000, Universal released the reimagining of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, a live-action version The Grinch starring Jim Carrey, which was not received well by critics and audiences,...

Sunday July 15th is the last day of Comic-Con 2012, and most of us will be completely worn out looking like Spider-Man in the image above. Chances are he's asleep under that mask. Sunday has always been a cool down day for us, we kind of just try to relax a little bit more and enjoy it. That doesn't mean their isn't anything to see or do though!
We've got a Fringe screening and Q&A, Doctor Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer 20th Anniversary, Sons of Anarchy, the annual Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical screening, and more! I've always wanted to go the Buffy musical sing-a-long, but am usually trying to leave San Diego before it starts.
Just a little reminder, we will be having our annual GeekTyrant meet up this year to meet our readers, which is something we always enjoy doing! That will take place on Wednesday night, and...
