Dharmendra and Subhash Ghai had major fights while making the film. The first one was when Dharmendra's cousin, actor Narendra and cinematographer K.K.Mahajan got into a fist fight. Mahajan was then was replaced by Rama Rao. Subhash Ghai would get angry when Dharmendra would skip the film shooting to go spend time with Hema Malini. Subhash in return would make Dharmendra keep giving retakes when he was reciting his dialogues in English. This would annoy Dharmendra to no end. Then Subhash Ghai kept insisting on helicopters and various cameras to producer Ranjit Virk. Ranjit was a relative of Dharmendra so it was almost a home production for Dharmendra. Subhash would constantly re shoot the film. Then a huge fight erupted between Subhash Ghai and Dharmendra. Subhash asked Hema Malini to wear a revealing outfit. Hema got angry and refused. Ghai reminded her she was playing a prostitute and not a innocent character. Hema then agreed after Subhash forced her. The producer Ranjit Virk begged Hema not to tell Dharmendra as he would beat the living day lights out of Subhash Ghai. Finally Dharmendra did find out and was ready to take off Ghai's head. It was the film unit members who calmed Dharmendra down and diffused the situation.
Laxmikant Pyarelal were the Music directors for Krodhi. They composed the songs and during background score recording they had some dispute with Ghai and hence background music task was given to Kalyanji Anandji who were working with Ghai for his next movie Vidhaata (produced by Gulshan Rai). This was rare incident where two top music directors have worked in same movie. In the credit titles we can see "Music By Kalyanji Anandji" and "Songs composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal".
This was the only movie that featured superstars Dharmendra and Shashi Kapoor in their only movie together.
When Anil Kapoor was a struggler, he kept meeting Subhash Ghai and insisting he get signed for the film. Subhash Ghai finally verbally told Anil the role was his. It was only a few months later Anil Kapoor found out Subhash had replaced him with a more popular and saleable Sachin. Producer Ranjit Virk did not want Anil Kapoor in the film.
