An imaginative and creative use of action figures.
shazam_744 October 1999
These guys did a bang-up job using some of our favorite Star Wars action figures in a highly imaginative fashion. I especially liked the insights into Lando's libido. I think Billy Dee Williams would agree, Lando deserves a cold Colt .45 to go with his performance in this short.

They blew up Yoda!

If that part didn't have me laughing so hard tears were streaming down my cheeks. There's something very, very funny about "Girl from Ipanema" playing while something dumb is happening. This sort of thing is just great. It's good to see a small-time little movie done for fun getting the laughs it deserves.

Lando Calrissian and disco? Now that you come to mention it...
Fuyutsuki22 January 2002
Oh man oh man what a film!

An inspired sound track and an intriguing plot (featuring of course a rampaging and seemingly indestructible Godzilla) really made this for me. I mean, come on, who has not seen the Star Wars trilogy and not made the connection between Lando Calrissian and disco, and Obi-Wan Kenobi and the martial arts? Oh? You haven't?! Well let this film enlighten you.

In Cloud City the good citizens are enjoying the 24-hour disco atmosphere in Calrissian's very own city in the sky, blissfully unaware of the terrible force intent on destroying their oasis in the Star Wars universe. A green menace is approaching them, strong in the force, its great body surely containing a good deal of those midi chlorians Obi Wan knows all about. And our heroes, the disco king Calrissian and the Kung Fu Jedi Master Kenobi have all to do when the creature tears into the town.

This short has a precisely crafted narrative, which in it's jerky and pixelated way, works perfectly along with the great Star Wars meets disco head on sound track and the remarkably expressive action figures filmed in among Lego constructed sets!

The "Mace Windu Theater" segment alone is sublime!

If you're on the internet, which you are, then download this file and enjoy for a minute just what can happen inside the Star Wars universe, when Lucas isn't around!

Very funny and entertaining

I thought this Godzilla movie was good and very funny. Also they used some kind of stop-motion animation which I have never seen before. Think of it as Star Wars vs Godzilla. It is only about 8 min. but you will like it.

Fun and visually great!
Boba_Fett11385 March 2005
Out of all the Evan Mather Star Wars movies I have seen so far this is probably the one that visually looks the best and has some great looking effects.

"Godzilla Versus Disco Lando" also is my favorite Evan Mather short so far. It's not the most funny Mather movie but it really are the visuals that make this little short great to watch.

The only thing that prevent me from giving this movie a perfect 10 out of 10 is the homosexual theme throughout the movie again that simply ain't funny and is just plain offensive to some people I would imaging. It really is a weird thing but for some reason Evan Mather just loves letting his action figures kiss each other. It's highly unfunny and after seeing it for a few times in several Mather movies it's also getting a bit irritating after a while. Please come up with something more original and something that might not be so offensive to homosexuals or other persons.

Yet this movie is just mainly fun and visually wonderful!
