Superintendent Duggan investigates another grizzly messed, a woman's body is found walled up in a house that's being demolished, the only tenuous link he has to work on, a series of quality, cut prices electrical items.
After that very fine episode with Wilfrid Brambell, I had developed quite a high expectation, sadly with this one it was straight back down to Earth.
This wasn't a particularly good or interesting mystery, the idea is ok I guess, but the expectation was very slow. Essentially The Police are chasing a bald Salesman, tenuous to say the least.
Best element for me had to be interviewee Mrs Phips, I adore that old school brand of gossipy, chatty busybody, she was great fun, Fanny Carby played the part of the biscuit munching character very well.
The idea of The Police suspiciously staring at bald men on London's Street, that was funny, you can imagine the outcry that would cause in this day and age.
An interesting look at the era, but as a mystery it's not great.
5/10.
