A very artificial story is not quite put over by good acting in this picture. To tell the truth, it is a jumble of old stuff put into good scenes by the producer. Van Dyke Brooke, and pretty well played by Rogers Lytton, Rosemary Theby and Kate Price. The photography is good. Such a picture might get by with strong support from the rest of the bill. - The Moving Picture World, June 21, 1913
