A truly brilliant game

I was browsing for games in the sale section, because a) I have little money for entertainment, and b) You can find some real gems in there. Well, seeing Tim Curry, the Almighty God of Acting, I snatched. It came in a two-pack with a game that looked equally interesting, Mummy: Tomb of the Pharoh. While that game was slightly cheesy at moments (though still good), Frankenstein: Through the Eyes of the Monster was nothing less of a masterpiece. Very dark and sometimes amazingly disturbing, my only complaint was that sometimes it got a little too hard, leaving you unsure of where to go. But Curry's performance as the mad man himself was immaculate, nothing less than what you'd expect from him anyway.

Favorite moment: When your character realizes he can find out the last 5 to 10 things a victim said by puncturing the brains in certain places. Really disturbing stuff!

Loved this game!

I own, and even still occasionally play, Frankenstein thru the eyes of the monster. I have a demo version of the game that I found on an old CD-ROM Today Magazine CD, and several of the clips are un-cropped for audio, you can actually hear the director give Tim direction in the background. Regardless, this is an amazing title, and I would recommend it to any Myst, Zork, or any scene by scene strategy game player. My favorite moment would have to have been when Tim curry is yelling at you throughout the castle trying to find you, something about his notes (Sorry people, not going to spoil it). You just have to play this game. Very media rich, perhaps not quite as easy to navigate as today's FPS games, however it still has a certain charm that the games of early CD-ROM did.
