A Break From Work
boblipton20 September 2021
It's one of those shorts that most of the studios produced at one time or another, in which we are granted a look behind the high walls and past the guarded gates that surrounded the production facilities. We get to see the performers and directors taking breaks or at work. This, we are to imagine, will induce us to see the latest productions.

There's little doubt that I find shorts like this interesting. Where else, after all, can you see Cecil B. Demille, looking like comic Edgar Kennedy will in the middle of the 1930s? For the ore obscure actors, ones who I am accustomed to seeing in the background and uncertain of who they actually are, it's also useful to put the name and the face together. How useful this will be to the more casual fan is not something I can say.
