Best political cabaret ever
niederma10 March 2004
Scheibenwischer is quite regular, live cabaret show in German public (i.e. non private) television (the one everyone pays the monthly TV fee for, and thus may not show commercials after 8 p.m.). Sadly you hardly find announcements of "Scheibenwischer" due to its extreme criticism on any local and global political event, what is the reason for being pushed around to any program place by the officials and usually you fall in when zapping on late night TV. Luckily each show is repeated 5-10 times within the following 2-3 weeks on different regional stations and you have a chance to see it, if one of your friends reminds you.

Although the comments in the show are very sharp, they whole show is on a very high intellectual level and also gives some alternatives, even so governments won't care. Comments range topics like peace, environment, corruption, social justice, minorities/xenophobia, and much more.

One of the best shows in German television. It's cabaret, not comedy.
